While most practitioners would summarize their roles as communicating and informing, we see our business as selling via communication. Creative thinking, strategic communication and the right information really work if they help the bottom line for PR. We value impact over impressions and while we are used to seeing our clients on the front pages and on the big screen regularly, we are always itching to talk to the CFO to see what the traffic and profit numbers were following a campaign.

Unlike other agencies though, our managing partners have 20 years in executive sales roles. Why is that important? We know what sells and how to sell it. It’s not just sales experience. It’s a sales foundation. We’ve also challenged the traditional restaurant PR agency model with success. Admittedly most agencies have a few senior strategists at the top of the triangle, with the majority of staff in support or administrative roles running the day-to-day activities. We decided to turn the triangle on it’s head. Our managing partners stay involved in every aspect of the client relationship from strategy to execution, start to finish, day-to-day.


We think inside the box

Why? Every company has unique brand equities and every plan has a budget. Those parameters make up a box. Ideas that aren’t on brand or on budget simply don’t work. We create ideas on brand and on budget that make money because when you succeed in the box you’ve struck restaurant PR gold. That’s our way of doing business. Ideas that work, strategies that sell. It’s a unique concept in one we’re perfecting. The difference is public relations for the bottom line.

Derek Farley


A self-proclaimed news junkie, Derek Farley spent his first allowance on a newspaper subscription and has never looked back. He picked up an honors public relations degree from WVU, then nailed his first interview with PR Newswire. He spent 17 years with the global news distribution leader, in Charlotte, Seattle and Dallas, ascending to VP role. He worked with the best PR practitioners in the world and decided to start his own agency in Charlotte. He won the PR industry’s national championship on his first assignment. Farley still reads the paper edition of several newspapers every day and is always looking for the next big idea.

Tom Beyer

Executive Vice President and Managing Partner

Beyer joined forces with Farley in 2008 after working together for 15 years at PR Newswire. Friends first, business partners second has been the agency’s motto since. Beyer has more than 25 years of sales, marketing and public relations experience. Starting out working for a large PR agency, he has also worked in corporate PR and as VP of National Accounts for PRN, where he created a division to to service agencies of all sizes. His love for PR started in college where he was National Chairman for the PRSSA chapter and started one of the first student-run public relations agencies in the country while at Northern Arizona University.

Linsey Beford

Senior Strategist

Linsey joined the 150PR team as Senior Strategist in August 2015 and serves as account lead on several of the agency’s new accounts, including Hwy 55 and Hickory Tavern. Her background includes a decorated and tenured sports marketing position as the national sales manager of American Varsity Sports. She also served as the marketing director for a 4-star restaurant and managed a restaurant corporation. Her past restaurant, marketing and advertising experience allows her to put herself in her clients’ shoes and paves the way for creative, achievable PR ideas for them.

Zane Beyer

Manager of Millennial Thought

Finding time between surfing, skateboarding and finishing his college degree in marketing at San Diego State University, Zane Beyer 150PR’S the Manager of Millennial Thought.  He brings a unique perspective to the agency and supports and services all accounts.  As a true millennial, Zane serves as a company ambassador for several brands, maintains a strong Instagram presence with more than 100k+ followers who love his ocean and beach vibe images and has even licensed his images to a t-shirt company.
