16 May Charlotte PR firm re-brands as 150PR, adds new exec


Charlotte-based restaurant public relations firm DFPR has re-branded as 150PR and named a new executive vice president and chief creative officer, Dee Rambeau.

The new name comes from the agencies’ collective number of years of PR experience, said Derek Farley, 150PR president.

As for its newest executive, Rambeau is former TV writer and producer who owns Rambeau Media, a full-service media production, distribution and monitoring company that will add its services to 150PR.

He’s also the former vice president of consumer engagement at PR Newswire, the news distribution company where he met Farley and Tom Beyer, the Charlotte firm’s EVP and managing partner for the last eight years.

“Adding an industry rock star like Dee Rambeau puts an exclamation point on where our agency is going,” Farley said in a statement Wednesday.

The re-branded 150PR was started in 2006 and serves as agency of record for several national and local restaurant chains including Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s, JJ’s Red Hots and Hickory Tavern.
